Gender Coordinator

Deadline: 14th February 2025

CARE Kenya seeks to recruit the position of a Gender Coordinator who will work in collaborative partnership with SHE SOARS Strategic partners to develop and strengthen their desired Gender Equality and Social Inclusion results outputs, outcomes and contributions to impact, ensuring transformative processes and ensure data for key performance indicators is collected, verified and reported on, timely - but also holistically for all gender related and integrated initiatives under the project. S/he should build the capacity of recipients in Gender Equality results-based reporting and delivery principles and processes and will ensure that all strategic partners have structures and processes / systems to deliver on, monitor adherence to CARE’s programming principles and abide by agreed CARE standards and donor guidelines on Gender Equality Outcomes delivery. The Gender Coordinator will also document and utilize learning and knowledge from within CARE and outside to develop and design and improve high impact programs.

WASH Infrastructure Engineer

Deadline: 7th February 2025

CARE Kenya seeks to recruit the position of a WASH Infrastructure Engineer who shall take charge of technical aspects of WASH activities on behalf of the Anticipatory Action project. His/her main roles and in consultation with the Project manager and the county government technical teams shall include; designing, planning, implementing (technical oversights), monitoring and reporting on Anticipatory Action project's water infrastructure activities.

TOR - RESOURCE MOBILIZATION CONSULTANCY

Deadline: 31st January 2025

The purpose of this consultancy is to provide focused, strategic and rigorous Resource Mobilization to deliver program funding to the organization that secures program and structure ambitions from July 1, 2025, onwards.

 

To support this process, the organization is seeking to recruit a Resource Mobilization consultant to translate the ambition into well-funded actions in support of achieving the outcomes of CARE Kenya strategy.

TOR - DADAAB VIABILITY STUDY FY25

Deadline: 31st  January 2025

With the enactment of the Refugee bill into law in 2021, opening possibilities for refugees to live and work in Kenya, CARE Kenya’s intention has been to build a more diverse area of refugees’ programming better suited to a rapidly changing world, including resilience and livelihoods building; creating a network of support for refugees using CARE’s presence in the broader region through cross border programing; and advocating for refugees’ rights and wellbeing

 

The purpose of this study is to assess both the strategic and financial viability of continuing a CARE Kenya presence in the Dadaab refugee camp. To explore all opportunities and challenges in line with CARE Kenya 2024-30 Strategic plan. The assessment should lead the CARE Kenya Senior Management Team (SMT) being able to make recommendations to the CARE ECA Regional Leadership Team for approval of actions in the short, medium and long term for continuity or closure CARE Kenya’s Dadaab refugee operational program.

TOR – SUPPORT ON DEVELOPING FRAMEWORK FOR HUMANITARIAN ACTION AND RESILIENCE BUILDING FOR CARE KENYA

Deadline: 31st January 2025

CARE Kenya is seeking services of a consultant with relevant and extensive expertise preferably in both humanitarian assistance and development in the short-term to support the Country office in developing its statement of ambition for its Humanitarian work and develop a framework for preparedness, humanitarian support and resilience building across the continuum of the humanitarian development peace nexus (triple nexus).  
 
Specific Objectives 

  • Develop CARE Kenya Humanitarian Strategy that integrates Gender responsive humanitarian response approaches.

  • Develop a capacity statement as part of the strategy. 

  • Finalize on CARE Kenya’s Humanitarian pillar implementation framework. 

  • Identify and document strategic focus or niche for CARE Kenya’s approaches, and priorities for livelihoods and resilience building in line with Triple Nexus programming. 

  • Undertake a Landscape analysis of the humanitarian coordination landscape in Kenya and in alignment with the humanitarian strategy, map out strategic coordination, implementation, and funding partners.  

  • Develop a situational report on the predicted La Nina drought and develop a concept note for response to the same.
